About Us
Southern Comfort Mercantile has been providing custom Civil War, Western, and
Cavalry leather products since 1998. Unless specified otherwise, all products are custom
made in our leather shop located here in Tennessee.
We are a family owned business and work diligently to provide high quality products
which will last a long time and can be handed down to others as either keepsakes or
usable re-enactment items.
Our Civil War leather belts were designed after original belts examined and detailed at museums in Franklin and Shiloh, Tennessee and other Civil War sites.
About 60% of our products are shipping to customers within the United States while an addition 40% are purchased by our customers internationally to include Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia. Many are not aware of how much our Civil War is studied and re-enacted in other countries.
Our black and brown/russett belts and holsters also work great for Western and Cavalry
re-enactors as well.
We are constantly looking for additional products to build and make available for purchase. However, we try to keep our list of items to those we can produce and make in our Tennessee leather shop so that we have oversight of their quality manufacture.
